TODAS stories – Daniela & Fadi
This is a personal story from me, Daniela Sedlák, founder of TODAS Travel, about a long-term collaboration that grew into something much more meaningful than a standard professional partnership – our connection with our external guide and friend, Fadi.
Sometimes in tourism, business starts with contracts and partnerships.
But sometimes, it starts with people.

How I met Fadi
When I first came across Fadi around 2017–2018, he was working as a local guide for groups traveling from Israel to Slovakia.
At that time, TODAS was already operating as a Destination Management Company (DMC), organizing tours and managing incoming groups. But what stood out about Fadi was not only his professionalism – it was the way he connected with people.
There are guides who show places.
And then there are guides who make you feel the place.
Fadi was clearly the second type.

Over time, our paths kept crossing.
Fadi began to develop his own direction – offering private guiding, building independent services, and shaping his personal style, especially during and after the COVID period, when the entire tourism industry was changing.
Instead of growing apart, we naturally moved closer in collaboration.
We started combining our strengths – his deep, on-the-ground guiding experience, and my background in building structured travel products through TODAS.
What began as small, occasional collaborations gradually evolved into something much more solid, natural, and long-term.
A way of working that is not defined by contracts, but by trust, shared values, and the same understanding of what meaningful travel should feel like.

Trust comes first
In tourism, trust is everything.
I have always believed that partnerships only work when they are built on honesty, not convenience. With Fadi, it was never about “business first”. It was about understanding the same goal – to show Slovakia in a meaningful, personal, and authentic way.
Over time, trust became the foundation of everything we do together.

Working with different worlds
Fadi mainly focuses on the Israeli market, while TODAS works with a wide range of international clients, including Latvia, Lithuania, the UK, Canada, the USA, Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Israel.
This mix of markets, perspectives, and experiences is what makes our collaboration so dynamic and strong. We learn from each other constantly, and that exchange keeps our work alive and evolving.

About Fadi
Fadi is an external tour guide and tourism partner working closely with TODAS.
He specializes in guiding groups through Slovakia, especially the High Tatras region, combining nature, hiking, and cultural experiences. What I value most is his natural ability to connect travelers with the country in a very human and effortless way.

Our shared vision
Today, our cooperation continues to grow.
Together, we create hiking programs, cultural tours, city experiences, and tailor-made itineraries across Slovakia.
But more importantly, we share the same belief:
Travel is not about places. It is about people.

More than partners
And beyond work, this collaboration has grown into something even more personal.
We are also friends. Our families know each other, and from time to time we meet not only as partners, but as people who genuinely enjoy spending time together.
There is even a photo of us all sitting together in a restaurant – my family and Fadi’s family – which perfectly captures what this connection has become over the years.
Because in the end, what we build at TODAS is not only about travel.
It is about relationships that last.
